Dance Visions NY is seeking a dancer and an intern/understudy for live performances at gardens and preserves on Long Island late summer/early fall 2021. The project is for a poetry/dance work, with the movement based in part on the Isadora Duncan technique. Part of this work was developed before the pandemic, with a section of it made into a film during the pandemic. We are now recreating the full work for live outdoor performance. We're looking for an tall, accomplished, versatile dancer who has a strong presence, is comfortable with improvisation, and is very musical. Experience in early modern dance is a plus. Rehearsals will be two to three Sundays monthly, for now, in a park in Manhattan (masks mandatory), and possibly virtually through Zoom as needed. Please send resumé or bio, photo and dance video (and any questions) immediately, to dancevisions.ny@gmail.com.
