Carolyn Dorfman Dance invites you to our 2021-22 audition. The process begins with a video submission.
Selected dancers will be invited to an in-person audition June 7, 8 and 9, 2021, location to be determined.
Only vaccinated dancers can attend the in-person audition. (COVID-19 may influence where auditions and,
subsequently, rehearsals are held.)

Carolyn Dorfman Dance has a mission to create and present work that shares the uniqueness and common-
alities of the human story. Maintaining a vibrant and diverse company of dancers is essential to our art, philos-
ophy and commitment to social justice and community impact.

The Company’s 2021 - 2022 Touring Season, includes creation of new work, repertory reconstruction,
performance/touring and teaching/community residencies. Opportunities include:
• Full-time/part-time company positions beginning early September, 2021
• Non-union, 20+ week contract

• Paid rehearsals, performing and teaching
• Rehearsals will be held in NJ or NY
• Legal work status verification required

Dancers should have strong contemporary modern dance and ballet technique, bold athleticism, a
broad theatrical range, and strong ensemble and partnering skills. The Company is seeking dedicated,
passionate and committed dancers (especially black, indigenous, people of color) with a strong desire
for artistic growth. At least 3 years of professional performance experience is preferred.

• Selected dancers will be invited to attend call backs on June 7-9, 2021
