This Summer Intensive will further BodyStories’ Mission of unleashing creativity and empowerment in dancers and developing a deeper understanding of the relationship between art and activism. Dancers will rediscover joy in movement through inspiring and challenging technical, composition, and improvisational classes each day. Together we will hone in on our skills through partnering movement, music, and text, while investigating the relationship between dance and social justice. You won’t want to miss out on this opportunity! Virtually or in-person at the Middlebrook Arts Research + Residency Center, our intensive will serve as a space to create an environment of learning and growth, and expand your vocabulary.

Please note that in-person attendance and housing are limited; register ASAP to reserve in-person attendance and housing. Participants will be housed in the center’s renovated Barn, with access to the kitchen, deck, sleeping rooms, nine acres outdoors, and three multi-purpose spaces. For this program, dancers will have access to the kitchen to prepare meals, there will be one communal meal, and there will be lite snacks and tea offered 24 hours/day.
