AUDITION CALL FOR IMPROVISERS AND DANCER CHOREOGRAPHERS!

AUDITION CALL FOR  IMPROVISERS!

OPEN DANCE ENSEMBLE is seeking additional dancers for our Fall season. We have two shows scheduled and are planning for additional opportunities. We are especially interested in dancers with contact impro, acro, and improv experience, but will consider other candidates. We will hold auditions from 7-9 PM on Tuesday, September 14 and if needed also on September 21. We plan to rehearse regularly on Tuesdays, 7-9 PM although this may change as needed.

We specialize in self-conducted improvised dance and work closely as a collaborative in both planning and execution, with rotating choreographers among the membership. Since 2017 we have created and performed more than a dozen works in New York City and elsewhere. The ensemble is a volunteer organization, and we pride ourselves on the dedication of our members to the joy of dance and the work we create.

Our websites are  www.opendanceensemble and www.facebook.com/opendanceensemble. If interested please email your bio and video links ASAP to opendanceensemble@earthlink.net.

One arm is raised above the head and the other extended to the back parallel to the extended leg. The school director is opposite the dancer and wears a red DTH logo t-shirt and black pants and ballet slippers. She holds the hand of the arm raised above the dancer’s head with one arm and her back arm is extended and she is smiling at the student.
