NYC Ballet Instructor and Location Manager:

Seeking:

Seeking a professional level dancer with significant teaching experience and interest in marketing to be a Manager and Instructor for The Ballet Spot’s W 72nd St, NYC location.

The Ballet Spot is an adult Ballet and Fitness program with locations in both NYC and Santa Monica, CA. We offer in-person and online classes for adults of all levels. The Ballet Spot was founded in 2017 in NYC with a mission to make the fitness and fun of ballet accessible to all. All of our instructors are professional dancers.

 

Compensation:

Weekly salary for 2 classes and 5+ hours of work per week
Additional pay for any added classes both online and in-person (including Barre, Pilates, and Stretch), as well as Private Lessons for both adults and kids

 

Job Description:

Instruct and manage 2 adult Cardio Ballet classes per week in-person at 131 W 72nd Street: Saturdays 11am and Sundays at 10am
Work closely with The Ballet Spot’s owner to grow The Ballet Spot’s visibility in NYC
Communicate and strategize with The Ballet Spot’s Marketing Manager on ways to grow The Ballet Spot in the NYC market
Lead social media engagement initiatives and manage weekly social media assignments
Participate in monthly community events

 

Requirements:

3+ years of teaching experience
College degree in dance or commensurate performance experience
Covid-19 Full Vaccination
Availability on Saturday and Sunday mornings for a 1 hour class
Fitness, Pilates, Barre, or Teaching Certification a plus
Experience teaching Adult Ballet a plus
