Become part of the Familia with JUNTOSLocal New York! Join us for dance exchange, professional development, and a chance to learn and perform JUNTOS repertory in New York City.

Join the first in-person JUNTOS program since January, 2020 - JUNTOSLocal New York. As we look forward to the day that we can safely travel abroad again, we are slowly returning to in-person initiatives starting here in the U.S.

 

JUNTOSLocal New York is an opportunity for city-based college-aged and emerging professional dancers who have a passion for dance and community to come together for unique shared dance experiences. 

 

This program includes:

- Professional development workshops and lectures in leadership through dance

- Dance workshops with professional teaching artists Antuan Byers and Kiri Avelar

- Training in the JUNTOS pedagogy

 

Additionally, by participating in this program you will:

- Learn and perform JUNTOS repertory

- Have the chance to submit your own choreographic work for performance

- Teach and perform for diverse communities in New York City

- Meet and collaborate with a network of peers and professionals in your local dance community

 

Schedule:

Saturday, November 6th & Saturday, November 13th, 2-6pm ET - JUNTOS Workshop Series and Training

- Dance & Professional Development workshops with JUNTOS staff and Guest Artists

- Learn JUNTOS repertory for community performances

Saturday, November 20th - Community Outreach Workshop & Performance

- Collaborative community workshop and performance with a JUNTOS Community Alliance

Sunday, December 5th, 6:30pm & 8:30pm ET- Final Performance at Arts On Site

- A culminating performance with select solos, duets, and group work, including a mixture of JUNTOS repertory and other student choreography.
