NYC Dancers & Beyond! We are thrilled to announce our launch of our 2022 Winter Intensive!

Dates: This Winter’s intensive is from January 17 - 21 and is open to dancers and movers, 16 and older, of any abilities and experience! Classes will be held at BodyStories’ upstate arts space: Middlebrook Arts Research + Residency Center. Participants also have the option to join virtually!

Details: This Winter Intensive will further BodyStories’ Mission of unleashing creativity and empowerment in dancers and developing a deeper understanding of the relationship between art and activism. Dancers will rediscover joy in movement through inspiring and challenging technical, composition, and improvisational classes each day. Together we will hone in on our skills through partnering movement, imagery, music, and text, in addition to investigating the relationship between dance and social justice. You won’t want to miss out on this opportunity! Virtually or in-person at Middlebrook Arts Research + Residency Center, our intensive will serve as a space to create an environment of learning and growth, and expand your vocabulary.

Exploring dance virtually has allowed us the opportunity to grow as movers and artists; dancing within our confines, adapting to our environments, and broadening our minds. Students can attend the intensive virtually through ZOOM or in-person, with or without housing. Please note that in-person attendance and housing are limited; register ASAP to reserve in-person attendance and housing.

Daily Winter Intensive:
Technique 11:30am - 1pm
Improvisation + Composition 1:30pm - 3:30pm
Additional events such as discussions, guest teachers, feedback sessions, outings, and more!
