Join The Mother of Pilobolus & Momix in an afternoon immersed in improvisation, weight-sharing, and repertory!

Alison Chase will be leading a workshop alongside her company, Alison Chase/Performance, that you won't want to miss, live on stage at Brooklyn Cyc! AC/P is transforming a 6,500 sq. ft. photography warehouse into a one-of-a-kind performance space.

During our residency, we are offering a workshop to professional dancers who are interested in learning the O.G. methods of improvisation & weight-sharing that developed Pilobolus and Momix. We'll teach you the foundations of Alison's improvisation and weight-sharing methods, and teach you one of our favorite duets from Tsu Ku Tsu. 

While this isn't an official audition per say, AC/P often prefers to find their next collaborators and company members through our workshops and educational opportunities. We are definitely on the look out for future creators as we move into the summer to incubate new ideas, and help us develop a few digital works.

AC/P invites all professional dancers with a strong background in improvisation & modern technique to join us. We are a company which embraces inclusion, diversity, and equity, and provide a safe-haven for artists of all backgrounds to collaborate.

2022 marks the 50th Anniversary of Collaboration & Creation from Ms. Chase. Co-founding Pilobolus & Momix, AC/P was established in 2010 to allow Ms. Chase the opportunity to freely pursue her creative vision of bold collaborations with other artists, writers, designers, composers, photographers, filmmakers, dancers, and musicians.

AC/P will be celebrating Ms. Chase's landmark career with a one-of-a-kind performance experience at Brooklyn Cyc Studios. The show will feature two fan favorite pieces, a world premiere, and digital works. Also, cocktails are provided by Copalli Rum, and snacks from Daniel Boulud Epicurie.
