Artichoke Ambassadors -- Eco Artists Training Program

Artichoke Dance Company offers the second module of our Artichoke Ambassadors program from June 27-July 3, 2022 from 12-3PM (EST) daily via Zoom. This 5-day online workshop symbiotically aligns environmentally conscious art making with climate and environmental justice action at collective and individual levels through interactive eduactional experiences, creative process, and environmental activism training. This educational and mentorship program guides emerging artists to become creatively active in combatting the climate change crisis.

Artichoke Dance Company is known for innovative and engaging performances paired with environmental activism, education, community building and civic engagement. WHAT YOU'LL GAIN FROM THE PROGRAM:

-mentorship in merging arts and environmental activism

-exposure to ecoartists and their approaches

-climate activism training and education

-support to create an individual or collaborative project

-a community of like-minded peers working to create change

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO IN THE PROGRAM:

Each day of the program will meet from 12-3PM (EST) via Zoom for informational training sessions with Artichoke's Director, Lynn Neuman, and guest speakers from across the nation that are leaders in climate activism and eco arts. The sessions will include lecture, discussion, interactive activities, movement prompts, writing exercises, and more! Although the primary creative mode we will be working in is dance and movement, artists of all disciplines are invited to apply.

FEE: $150 for the entire 5-day workshop. Financial assistance is available upon request via the application form or by contacting info@artichokedance.org

HOW TO APPLY:

A short application form is due by June 3rd. Applicants will be notified of acceptance by June 13th and the program runs from June 27-July 1 from 12-3PM (EST) daily via Zoom. View the application form at the link below.
