DANCER CASTING

CASTING FOR DANCERS

Casting immediately for one week of rehearsal and performances for a new original show, Woof Woof the Shadow Pup, directed by Becca Moore Winter. The performers will be asked to learn choreography from home and study rehearsal footage in preparation for the week of rehearsal and performances. Dancer will be asked to be available for future performances and touring work.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

During a time when addressing children’s emotional well-being has become increasingly important, Woof Woof the Shadow Pup presents families with a poignant message that demonstrates how we can help kids express their thoughts, feelings, and struggles, and how parents can acknowledge those feelings and support the child to feel understood.

We’ve developed a 55 minute family shadow dance production with a 6 dancer cast. The narrative and script of the entire show create a 4-book series.  Families will experience the magical transformations of shadow characters including Woof Woof the Shadow Pup and many more. We are using dance and theater as a way to convey the characters’ feelings and evoke emotional responses from the audience. You’ll experience visually stunning scenes, powerful dances, magical shadow transformations, and illuminating puppetry. The show is musical, delightful, visually stunning, endearing, and entertaining for both children, parents, and grandparents. Our message aims to inspire children to talk to Woof Woof at home as part of their bedtime routine, so that parents have the opportunity to learn about their children’s inner emotional worlds and can support them to feel acknowledged and understood.
