Emerging Voices Residency 2022

The Emerging Voices Residency is a program designed to allow new choreographers and new performance artists the opportunity to create commissioned work; while further developing their artistic voice and building their portfolio in a supportive and creative environment. The selected artist(s) will receive up to 40 hours of free rehearsal space, a $500 stipend, the opportunity to showcase their work in a live presentation, and archival footage.

To apply, please complete and submit this google form. We strongly encourage black, brown, and LGBTQIA+ artists to submit their materials for consideration. The deadline to apply is June 30 at 11:59p. 

We will notify all artists of our decision by August 14, 2022. 

The program will run from September 1 to November 30, 2022. The selected choreographer(s) must be available during this time.

Eligibility:

- Reside within the five boroughs of New York City. *Preference will be given to Choreographers residing in Brooklyn. 
- Must not be enrolled in an undergraduate program during the residency.
- Must have graduated from high school.
- Be able to demonstrate the ability to choreograph group work.
- Must not have more than 5 years of post-graduate/professional choreographic experience.
