KnJ Theater Internship At Peridance

The KnJ Theater at Peridance Center in Manhattan is looking for one theater intern for its Spring Season, starting at the end of February. The Internship position is open only to those currently living in New York City and the Tri-State area. A minimum six-month commitment is required. Applicants must have a strong command of English, and be comfortable doing manual work, such as lifting risers. Technical skills are a plus but not required. The intern will be required to work every weekend and based upon the rentals and in-house productions of the theater. A typical schedule may be: Friday evenings begin at 6:30pm, Saturday at 4:00pm, and Sunday ranges depending on the number and time of performances (schedule subject to change). Each shift is between 3-6 hours long depending on the position, 15 hours weekly.

 

Requirements: 

Intern must be competent in fulfilling the following tasks:

Be available on weekends and sometimes holidays

Comfortable doing manual labor and  assisting the theater crew during Tech, Theater Build, performance(s) and Breakdown

Team player

Open to learn new skills

Customer service
