Matthew Westerby Company Seeks Dancers!

Matthew Westerby Company seeks dancers for projects in the summer and fall of 2022 and beyond.

MWC seeks male- and female-identifying dancers for MWC’s signature outreach program The Harlem Project, a community dance project that culminates in performance in Marcus Garvey Park in August.

MWC is also looking for two male-identifying dancers to complete the cast of "The Piers Project." The piece is inspired by the Piers gay scene on Manhattan's west side in the 1970s. The work was presented as a work-in-progress in September 2021 and will be premiered later in 2022. The work is a co-presentation with Hudson Guild Theatre Company.

Performers that identify as BIPOC are strongly encouraged to apply. Performers that identify as LGBTQIA+ are strongly encouraged to apply.

Paid rehearsal & performance.

Dancers should have strong dance technique, improvisational abilities, and a willingness to participate and contribute to the creative process. Please submit a resume and photo ASAP!
