The Contemporary Dance Experience Audition/Summer Intensive -

Come dance with Emotions Physical Theatre at our Contemporary Dance Experience Audition/Summer Intensive featuring nationally and internationally known teachers, choreographers, and companies. The Contemporary Dance Experience is a three day event where dancers take class with eight different choreographers in a variety of contemporary based styles. The purpose of the summer intensive is to help dancers find paid performance work through the connections they build with various choreographers. Past faculty have included teachers who've performed with Pilobolus, Bill T. Jones, Shen Wei, Australian Dance Theatre, Catapult from America's Got Talent, and the Roxey Ballet. Optional afternoon seminars include how to market yourself as a dancer and how to turn dance into a career. Build your network, audition for several companies at once, and get seen by eight different choreographers. Emotions Physical Theater uses this workshop as an audition for work with the company. Since 2017, our workshops have attracted over 125 participants. During this time, more than a dozen dancers have landed contracts to dance with EPT and other companies offering classes through the workshop.

Time: 10:00am-2:00pm each day (informal afternoon seminars and coaching 2:30pm-3:30pm each day)

Cost: $150 (Full Intensive - 3 days), $110 (2 days), $70 (1 day)
