Boston Dance Theater (BDT) seeks a Company Dancer for immediate hire. BDT is looking for an experienced male or non-binary BIPOC dancer to join the main company’s fall season.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Strong technical, artistic, and creative abilities. 

3+ years of professional performance experience (post degree).

Teaching experience within a professional company setting. Styles preferred: Floor work, Contemporary/Modern partnering, Cuban modern.

 

ABOUT: BDT’s 2022 repertory includes work by Rena Butler, Rosie Herrera, Karole Armitage and Jessie Jeanne Stinnett, and will join existing works by Marco Goecke, Micaela Taylor, and Itzik Galili. Dancers should familiarize themselves with the work of these choreographers in advance of this invite-only audition.

Interested dancers are encouraged to apply for BDT’s Summer Immersion Project (Aug 29-Sept 2, 2022) to gain more experience with the company’s artistic process prior to the audition. More info on Summer Immersion Project: https://www.bostondancetheater.com/sip

WHERE: Dance Complex at Canal, 650 East Kendall St, Cambridge, MA.

BDT Rehearsal locations: The Brookline Ballet School (Brookline, MA) & Dance Complex at Canal (Cambridge, MA)

COMPENSATION: Dancers paid hourly for rehearsals, teaching, coaching, and performances.
