Writing Assistant for Dance Project, Part-time/Flexible

GREYZONE choreographer, Lindy Fines, is seeking a writing assistant for a part-time flexible position. Primary role is to draft, revise, and edit written material for grant applications, performance and residency applications and foundation letters. Candidate has excellent writing skills, knowledge of the contemporary dance field, and an ability to view and discuss choreographic work at various stages of the creative process in order to craft and articulate compelling narratives. Dramaturgical experience or interest is a huge plus. Ideal for someone looking to supplement their existing income. 

Job details: 
-Draft, revise, and edit written material for grant applications, performance and residency applications and foundation letters 
-Become familiar with and invest in an understanding of GREYZONE’s body of work 
-View rehearsal videos and discuss current process with choreographer 
-Maintain organization of their working documents in Google Drive 

Candidate possesses: 
-Excellent writing, communication and organization skills with an eye for detail 
-Ability to work independently, collaboratively and efficiently 
-Knowledge of the dance field 
-Proficiency with Google Workspace 

Pay rate: $25 an hour, paid monthly 
Contract provided (1099) 

Hours: varying, 1-5+ hours per week (workload can be assessed weekly in order to commit to what’s doable)
