Immediate Hire - Teaching Artists 2022/2023

 

Mind-Builders Creative Arts Center is an arts organization located in the Northeast Bronx serving the community through arts programming for adults and youth for over 40 years. Mind-Builders cultivates an appreciation of the diverse cultures within our Bronx community through dance, music, martial arts, theater, folk culture, and pre-k. 

Mind-Builders Dance Department seeks several experienced Dance Teachers for immediate hire for our upcoming dance season from September 2022 to May 2023, with a culminating end-of-year recital. Qualified teachers must have at least 3 years experience working in a structured studio setting, excellent classroom management skills, culturally cognizant experience teaching BIPOC youth, and the ability to create a nurturing and positive learning environment to deliver an exciting and rigorous dance experience.

Applicants must be available on Tuesdays after 3:30p or Saturdays between 10a – 6p. The ideal candidate is able to teach the following classes for ages 5 – 12, at beginner and adv. beginner levels:

Tues or Sat Ballet/Jazz Combo Class, ages 7 – 10

Tues Hip Hop, ages 7 – 10

Sat African/Hip Hop Combo Class, ages 5 – 6

Sat Ballet/Tap Combo Class, ages 5 – 8

Sat Acro, ages 8 – 12

Salary range $50 - $70 commensurate with experience. This position is fully in-person, and all Mind-Builders employees must be fully vaccinated.
