Hip-Hop Dance Teaching Artist

Battery Dance is excited to open its doors to independent dance teaching artists to expand its education offerings in NYC public schools. Submissions will be reviewed for dance educators to begin in-person teaching engagements in all five boroughs for immediate work.

Applicants must reside in NYC or the tri-state area, have been fingerprinted by the NYC Department of Education, and have prior dance education experience. Availability during school and after school hours (8 AM- 4:30 PM) is key.

To apply, please submit a 1-page teaching resume (including: grade levels taught, disciplines/genres, languages, and experience with students with disabilities), and if available a 3-minute teaching sample video (preferably in-person instruction) to andrea@batterydance.org by October 31, 2022. Subject line should read: “EDUCATOR 2022.”

Shortlisted candidates will be notified.
