Seeking 3 Collaborators for Experimental Theatre Piece

Synposis: ‘would you set the table if I asked you to?’ is a 60-minute experimental theater piece that blends the imagery of the Chinese zodiac with the language of Greek myth. In it, a mother and her daughters attempt to bridge their worlds by parsing their unique generational entanglements with white supremacy.

We are looking for three creative collaborators for a 1-day staged reading/workshop March 4th or 5th and its associated rehearsals.  There is a potential for a 1-week run at The Brick NYC July 7th-14th (https://www.bricktheater.com/) 

 

Seeking: 

Rat (Asian, 20-30s) 

Rooster (Asian, 20-30s) 

Tiger (Asian, 20-30s) 

 

Compensation: It will be $50 For the reading. For the one week run, current estimated rate is $250 for 1-week performances and associated rehearsals, video footage and promotional photos. 

 

Please note: this role requires BOTH acting and dance/movement experience. Applicants must have acting experience and take direction well. Experience with experimental theatre is beneficial.
