AUDITIONS FOR 2023-2024 Season!

Carolyn Dorfman Dance invites you to in person auditions on May 15-16, 2023; with call backs May 16-18, 2023, at Gibney: Agnes Varis Performing Arts Center 280 Broadway (entrance at 53A Chambers St.).

Dancers must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including the bivalent booster.

Carolyn Dorfman Dance’s mission is to create and present work that shares the uniqueness and commonalities of the human story. Maintaining a vibrant and diverse company of dancers is essential to our art, philosophy, and commitment to creating a just, inclusive, and equitable community. Black, Indigenous and Artists of Color are encouraged to join us for these auditions. 

The Company is seeking dedicated, passionate, and committed dancers with strong contemporary modern dance and ballet technique, bold athleticism, a broad theatrical range, strong ensemble and partnering skills, and with a strong desire for artistic growth. At least 3 years of professional performance experience is preferred.

The Company’s 2023-2024 Touring Season includes repertory reconstruction, performance, touring, and teaching/community residencies. This opportunity includes:

Full-time company positions beginning early September 2023
Non-union, Minimum 28 week contract
Rehearsals in NYC and NJ
Legal work status verification
Starting salary $20/hour, plus teaching and performance bonuses
