Description:

Time Flies Circus, in partnership with BigCat Parkour, is looking for a Parkour Coach for The Time Flies Circus 2023 Camp Season. This is an 8 week position, with hours Monday-Friday. We are looking for full time coaches, however part time position are available. Full time availability, however, will receive priority. Training will be provided, in BigCar Parkour curriculum but experience parkour training is preferred.

Location
Breezemont Day Camp (Armonk, New York)
Transportation is provided from Manhattan, Riverdale and throughout Westchester.


Must be experienced working with kids in the following areas:

- Providing a safe, respectful, and fun learning atmosphere!
- Setting reasonable conditioning, stretching, and personal parkour practice expectation goals for the summer.
- Dealing with behavior management and safety protocols for all students of varying ages and skill levels.
- Being able to shift gears quickly and think on the fly when lessons don't go according plan.


Daily expectations of Parkour Coaches:

- Set up and maintain equipment to uphold the standards of safety for students and themselves.
- Create lesson plans and execute them based on the BigCat Parkour Curriculum.
Start and finish lessons on time.
Good time management skill.
Must have a strong sense of responsibility and reliability in regards to attendance at camp!
Maintain a challenging, engaging, and inventive program using the resources available.

Parkour Coaches Salary is $1000 a week, based on prior coaching experience.

BigCat Parkour (@BigCatParkour)
BigCat Parkour is a new Parkour Company created by artist and mover Felix Hess. Felix is currently a lead coach at 92NY for the Parkour Department and is the Supervisor for the 2023 Parkour Camp, also at 92NY. Felix got his start in practicing and teaching parkour during his time in the Streb Extreme Action Company where he was a Company member for 8 years. At Streb he first developed his teaching techniques for Parkour by breaking down techniques to make the practice or Parkour approachable, achievable, and accessable to all ages interested in giving it their personal best!
