AFFEKT Dance Company is looking for movers to join us for our NYC debut show this fall!

We are a young contemporary dance company that was founded in early 2023 in Brooklyn, NY by Janina Young. We create engaging work that makes use of multiple dance techniques and our diverse backgrounds to tell our stories. More specifically our body of work is influenced by contemporary, floor work, modern, ballet and flow acrobatics. It is important to us that our work is accessible and engaging to a broad audience. We are looking for strong, confident movers that are excited to learn and experiment with their peers. Our company values open communication and a respectful environment for everyone to thrive in, as well as discover and showcase their own strengths. We value individuality and want you to move in a way that you are proud of. Our choreography provides the skeleton, and we need your artistry to fill it with life. There is no hierarchy in our company, as well as no gender-specific roles or movement.
