Steffi Nossen School of Dance & Center for Movement is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit dance organization in its 86th year of operation bringing dance to children all over Westchester County, NY. Steffi Nossen is Westchester’s premiere dance education destination with a school in White Plains and serving youth through adults in various settings such as afterschool programing, pre-schools, libraries, community centers and various youth programming throughout the community.

 

Steffi Nossen School of Dance is seeking-

Experienced Part-Time Dance Educators with experience teaching K-7th grade in the following styles:

Ballet

Contemporary Jazz

 

Qualifications for the Dance Educator position are as follows-

-Interested in upholding Steffi Nossen’s mission and values, furthering access and equity, as well as themes of diversity and inclusion.
-Passionate about Arts Education and Children’s Well-Being
-Strong Classroom Management skills, that include a positive and inclusive classroom
-Have experience with building lesson plans and units for instruction
-Committed to bringing the love of dance to all children
-Comfortable choreographing for end of year concert

Requirements to Apply-

-Must be reliable and punctual
-Ability to make a commitment to teaching during after-school hours, one day a week, for the entire school year.
-Experience in Dance Education, especially elementary school ages.
-Must be willing to travel to Westchester for classes
