Seeking an experienced Lighting Designer for our performances on November 18th and 19th, 2023 at Peridance Theater (NYC).  A Lighting Designer will work with the Director, Artistic Director and/or Lighting Technicians to create the visuals for lighting, lasers, strobes, spots and sometimes video screens for a performance.

Responsibilities include and are not limited to: 
- Design the lighting needed for the performance
- Be aware of health and safety aspects
- Write a lighting plot/script to note where there are any lighting changes
- Attend technical rehearsals
- Be aware of budgets and energy use
 

Desired skills include: 
-Technical skills: experience in lighting design (portfolio / work sample required) and lighting board operation 
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
- Good communicator and collaborator
- Excellent color vision

Hours, Start Date, and Duration

Hours: Rehearsals are Wednesday and Fridays noon-4pm on starting on September 13th, 2023. The lighting designer will work with the Co-artistic directors and stage manager to set meeting hours for lighting design. The lighting designer is required to attend the technical rehearsal on November 17th, 7pm-midnight.
