NUTCRACKER AUDITIONS—WESTCHESTER BALLET COMPANY

 
Open Audtions for the Westchester Ballet Company's Nutcracker Bill Prouty

Youth dancers are invited to audition for Westchester Ballet Company's Nutcracker—the biggest, boldest production in the region.

The fall audition is the entry point for dancers to join Westchester Ballet Company. If selected, a dancer receives an invitation to join the Company, is placed in a ranked position in the Company, and is offered a role/roles in The Nutcracker, along with the opportunity to audition for other productions during the Company's spring season. 

Audition dates and locations: Saturday, September 23 and Sunday, September 24

Eligibility: Open to all dancers, ages 6 to 18

 

SATURDAY, SEPT. 23
LOCATION: Tarrytown, NY
Registrants will be notified of the Tarrytown location once dancer’s registration is received.
Beginner, Advanced Beginner, and Intermediate level dancers, boys and girls, 6-14 years old. For dancers who are NOT yet dancing on pointe.

1:30 pm—Beginner & Intermediate Boys; ages 6-10
Dancers at this level may be asked to stay for a later audition.

2:00 pm—Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Girls and Boys; ages 10-14
Dancers at this level may be asked to stay for a later audition.

3:00 pm—Intermediate Beginner Girls; ages 8-10

3:30 pm - 4:00 pm—Beginner Girls; ages 6-9
 

SUNDAY, SEPT. 24
LOCATION: Ossining, NY

Intermediate Advanced Boys, Intermediate Advanced, and Advanced Girls on pointe. For dancers enrolled in intensive-track ballet programs.

2:00 pm—Intermediate Boys and Girls (with some pointe training); ages 11-14
Dancers at this level may be asked to stay for a later audition.

3:00 - 6:00 pm—Advanced Boys and Advanced girls (with advanced pointe training); ages 12-18
