Dance Studio Alliance NYC - Artist Spotlight Series

This unprecedented DSA partnership offers a unique opportunity for Independent NYC Artists to create and perform in front of our industry’s best.  Performances will take place in 2 separate Venues - Bridge for Dance and PMT House of Dance in their in-studio/black box performance spaces. Here are the details:

?Please review the below information carefully before submitting your work. Submissions will be taken from 9/5/2023 - 10/10/2023.

?Eligibility & Requirements:

?- Dance performance groups from all cultures and of all genres are welcome to submit work.

- Performers must be 18 or older. Exemptions to the age requirement may be provided on a case by case basis.

- Submission Period: All submissions must be provide between 9/5 - 10/10. 

- Piece cannot be longer than 8 minutes. Only one piece shall be submitted into the weekend's showcases.

- All participants must submit this APPLICATION FORM. If you require assistance in doing due to accessibility needs, language assistance or another reason, please email us at dancestudioalliancenyc@gmail.com to arrange assistance. Hard copies are available at PMT House of Dance, Bridge for Dance and other participating studios.

- Pieces must be able to fit inside of our performances spaces, which are approximate 22x25'. A group's ability to safely perform in this size space will be considered as part of the evaluation process.

- Dance companies of member organizations are not eligible to apply. 

- Groups looking to submit work must have an operating budget below $500k in gross receipts.

- Must be available to tech and perform on 11/10 or 11/11. 

- Due to space restrictions, tap dancing is not permitted.

- Student Submissions are not eligible.
