Leonardo Suarez Paz’s PIAZZOLLA 100 is an award-winning multidisciplinary performing arts project that includes Nuevo Tango Ballet.  The company has performed at the Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Centro Cultural Kirchner in Buenos Aires, and live at the Latin Grammy Awards. 

We are hiring female dancers to develop a new theatrical work with live music. Showcases will run in November and December 2023 and performances in the spring of 2024. We are looking for dancers with contemporary, classical ballet backgrounds. Experience in musical theater, acting, and tango is a plus.  Must be 18 years old and up—preferred height: 5 feet 2 inches - 5 feet 5 inches (due to our costumes). 

We are looking for artistic, committed individuals who wish to explore and expand their dance vocabulary and are willing to travel nationally and abroad.  Compensation meets industry standards and is based on role & number of rehearsals. Artists across all cultural backgrounds are encouraged to apply.

Compensation

Dancers are compensated as independent contractors. All rehearsals are compensated at a minimum of $35; 1/2 hour showcases - $150, short programs of 1 hour or less, and no intermission - $200, full-length evening performances - $250;  per-diems $45. Weekly pay local -  $650 and $700 on tour.
