*OPEN CALL FOR DIVERSE MOVEMENT BASED ARTISTS OF ALL GENRES*

What is "We Move"?

Built under the direction of Drye/Marinaro Dance Company, Our mission at We Move is to build a diverse community of artists who want to expand their art forms and networks while offering value to the viewers who watch. WE believe dance is more than movement, and can be a vehicle for change in ourselves and in our communities. The "We Movement" has arrived in Brooklyn and We are excited to share in this love journey with you!

THEME: "LOVE MOVES” 

As a Pre-Celebration of Valentines Day, a community of artists come together to share the Joy, diversity, and complexities of Love through movement!

 

DATE: Saturday, February 10th  6PM Doors Open.  6:30PM Show.

Location: 3 Dollar BILL 260 Meserole St Brooklyn, NY

 

Your Work!

-Choreographers/Artists must be from NYC and surrounding areas.

-Work Should be between Solos (3min Max)  Groups (3-7 mins max)

-Work must be movement based of any genre (Hip Hop, Contemporary, Jazz, Cabaret, Drag, etc). 

-Work should explore and share a strong perspective on Love and its many facets.                                           

-Work should be finished w/ an emphasis on strong performance quality and clear conceptualized ideas.

-All Performers must be 21+   

-Work must be able to be performered a club space (no marley)


APPLICATION DEADLINE: Monday, January 15th 2024
