Bates Dance Festival is hiring! - Associate Producer

ASSOCIATE PRODUCER

Dates: June 29 – August 4, 2024
Fee: $6000 plus travel support

This is a residential position on the Bates College campus. Single dorm room accommodations and meals are provided. 

Must be available beginning April 1, 2024 for very limited remote prep work.

BDF seeks an Associate Producer for the BDF Performance Series. This position will oversee artist services and be the primary logistical point of contact for the artists and companies who are presented and in residence at the 2024 festival. The AP advances travel with each company and helps work through issues as they arise. This position creates schedules for the company while onsite and is a liaison between them and other departments such as Box Office and Communications.

Applicants will have 5+ years of professional work experience, preferably in arts administration or a related field. Must be an excellent communicator, both written and verbal, and be organized. Must be a problem solver and feel comfortable working with some independence and autonomy. Knowledge of contemporary dance and performance is helpful. This position reports to the Festival Director.
