Hello! We are The Pocket Fuel Groovers and are looking for new company members to join us for our May 5th performance at Arts on Site (two shows, one at 6:30 & one at 8:30) and beyond. 

The Pocket Fuel Groovers are a company of New York City based dancers founded by Nick Alselmo in 2020. Their movement is influenced by contemporary, hip-hop, ballet, house, funk dance styles and martial arts. By combining these disciplines with elements of theater, DJ-ing, team sport exercises and ideologies, they aim to push the boundaries of what is possible in a performance and communal setting. They have performed at Arts on Site, Abrons Arts Center, The Brick Theater, Triskelion Arts, Center for Performance Research, The Tank and much more.

We are seeking dynamic movers who have a background in contemporary dance, strong improvisational/freestyle skills and love for musicality. Strengths in popping, house, breaking, floorwork, krump, acrobatics and partnering are a plus! All races/ethnicities/gender expressions and sexual orientations are encouraged to apply.

We are currently looking to hire:

-One dancer available to rehearse Tuesday nights starting March 26th from 6pm-9pm in Brooklyn.
-Two more dancers who have April rehearsal availability.

Our audition will take place at Arts on Site on Tuesday March 12th, 2024. There are two preliminary time slots with limited space at 2:30pm-3:45pm and 4pm-5:15pm. (waiting list available)

The space will be available 15 minutes before your time slot for you to warm up/check in so that we can begin promptly.

We will have one round of callbacks from 5:30pm-7pm.

Rehearsal pay ranges from $10-$15/hr. Tech rehearsal pay is $15/hr. Performance pay ranges from $50-$150 per show.
