DESCRIPTION: Embodied Awareness
In this session, dancers will share kinesthetic statements and responses, bearing witness to the essence of other movers, absorbing their ideas, and reflecting those ideas back while adding new impulses. Class will consist of a warm up, guided improvisation, partner work, and a phrase dancers will then use to distill and reflect its movement essence.
In this way, participants will explore the innate movement signatures of others, try them on, and offer embodied feedback while increasing kinesthetic awareness and engagement with others.
