Lydia Johnson Dance is an acclaimed professional company with a nonprofit school which holds classes in Maplewood and South Orange NJ. We are seeking a modern dance teacher for our summer program in late July and for the 2024-25 school year.

Our Fall opportunity is on Thursday afternoons - 4 classes for 1st grade through early high school. Our Student Company focuses on structured and expressive choreography and meets with Lydia as well as our Thursday teacher. We teach with a noncompetitive community approach, yet the classes are well structured and have a strong ballet base. The location is across the street from the Maplewood NJ Transit station (about a 30-minute ride from Penn Station). Our school website is below, and the Company is at www.lydiajohnsondance.org

Our teaching fees are competitive, and we pay every 2 weeks.
