Jennifer Muller/The Works Company Membership Audition

Company Audition | Wednesday, June 12th 10:00AM - 2:00PM, Lower Manhattan

Jennifer Muller/The Works is seeking (2) highly-technical, contemporary dancers for the company’s 50th Anniversary Season, Spring 2025. 

Cis men, cis women, trans men, trans women, non-binary, genderqueer, agender, gender-nonconforming, genderfluid, and dancers of other gender identities are all welcome to audition.

We are looking for dedicated and spirited dancers with a love for dance theatre- who also have open minds and availability to intensively train in Muller Polarity Technique. We are hiring company members, so long-term availability will be given preference. Dancers will need to be available Monday, Wednesday, Friday from 10am-2pm starting June 14th, 2024.  

We are also asking dancers to be available for Alumni Intensives throughout the summer/fall, culminating in a series of small performances, a winter gala, and ultimately, a Spring ‘25, 50th Anniversary Season. Intensive dates are as follows:

June 24-28 | July 28- August 2 | August 12-August 16 | September 9-21 | October 21-25 (may change)
Intensive hours will be 10-4pm, Monday-Friday. 

We expect all company members to regularly attend weekly, unpaid technique classes. Rehearsals that follow are paid at $31/hr. Intensives will include paid rehearsal time: (Monday-Friday, unpaid class: 10-12, paid rehearsal & short lunch break: 12:00-4).

*If dancers are interested in a long term position, but have minor conflicts with our schedule- please still inquire. We will prioritize those who can commit to our dates, but will still consider those with pre-existing conflicts.
