Stagehand and Technical Volunteer (Team Gears)
Summary
Stagehand and Technical Volunteers aka Team Gears will be responsible for the set-up/breakdown of Duye’s portable stage, sound system, and the lifting or moving of materials. Prior experience as a stage handler or technical assistant is not required because we will provide training, but if you have any prior experience that is a plus! You are making the engine run!

Duties/Responsibilities
Set up/break down portable stage
Ensure the equipment and props are stored safely and working properly
Set up and test sound system; speakers and mics for teaching artist(s)
Regularly clean the stage, equipment, and mics after use
Assist with carrying and moving furniture, technology equipment, and supplies
Follow Duye Movement’s policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines, at all times.

Who would be suited for this role?
Are you an adaptable team player passionate about live entertainment and a commitment to safety and professionalism? Ability to lift to 50 lbs. Applicants should be 18 or older and can attend our mandatory orientation.
When?
Events/Classes will take place during the day and every 3rd Saturday. Artist Showcase will take place during the day and every 3rd Sunday of each month from May to October 2024. The minimum commitment is 4 - 5 hours a month (at least one Saturday or Sunday).
