Resonance explores the Asian American experience through 3 suites: assimilation and societal pressures, humanizing the perpetual foreigner, and celebration of my queer asian identity. My work aims to bring to the forefront Asian/Asian American stories and visibility, challenge the audiences bias, and center our vast array of experiences. My movement vocabulary pulls from street dance (hip hop, house, waacking), contemporary, and jazz (vernacular, street, commercial).

What I am looking for:
I am looking for 4-5 experienced dancers with a background in contemporary, street styles, and jazz with an openness to work collaboratively, learn intricate and musical choreography, and has outstanding professionalism. 

This process will move quickly, you will learn my rep as well as work on 2-3 new pieces. This is a passion project that hopefully acts as a launching board towards better funding and larger opportunities. Full transparency, I can commit to a small stipend of $150 per dancer which I know isn't much but I will be working on fund raising opportunities that hopefully will allow me to pay you more.
