Dancer needed immediately - Impressions of the Alhambra

Mosaic Dance Theater Company seeks immediate cast replacement for September 2024 production of “Impressions of The Alhambra” an adaptation of Washington Irving’s “The Alhambra,” written following his travels there in 1829. Production features dance, spoken word, and dance/story theater. Middle Eastern and Spanish folkloric dance are the foundational dance forms, with fusion and modern-style interpretive dance. Director: Morgiana Celeste Varricchio; Choreographers: Samara Adell, Carlos Fittante. Performance dates in NJ: September 14, 28, 29. 

Seeking:

1 Female, all ethnicities, able to play ingenue. Traditional dance training, theatrical experience, strong character work essential. Middle Eastern dance and Spanish technique a plus. (No Divas! We are an ensemble company looking for those of like spirit.) 

Must commit to rehearsal schedule — Tuesdays 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Thursdays, 3:00 – 6:00 PM, and some Fridays TBA. Times Square location. Rehearsals in progress. Non-union LOA 1099 stipend.
