Call for Submission - "Dance Bloc NYC 2024" dance festival at Dixon Place, NYC.

Festival Program Dates & Times: OCTOBER 31 (Thu) at 7:30 p.m. ,NOVEMBER 1 (Fri) at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. & NOVEMBER 2 (Sat) at 7 p.m. & 9 p.m.
(If selected, your work will be included in one of the 5 programs)

Deadline to apply is SUNDAY, AUGUST 4, MIDNIGHT.
You will receive our response by: AUGUST 17th.


The 2024 Festival will provide opportunities to choreographers from all genres of dance forms to showcase work around the following themes:

1. EFFECT
2. EMERGE
3. EVOLVE

Proposed works should be new or recently re-worked with primarily new choreography. If invited to participate, artists should plan to show the same piece as described in their application.

The length of work can be between 5 and 25 minutes long.

*  Works involving 4 or more dancers presented at the Festival may vary in lengths between 15 minutes and 25 minutes.
*  Solos can be between 5 and 10 minutes in duration. This means, if anyone is applying with a solo, the piece needs to be between 5 and 10 min. But, a 5 to 10 min piece can have multiple dancers as well. 

* If a piece is between 10 and 15 min, it should NOT be a solo but can be a duet, a trio or a bigger group.   

Works outside of these time frames may not be considered.
