POSITION: Dance

The I WILL GRADUATE Youth Development Program is seeking a part time dance instructor/teacher that is well versed in all styles of dance (Ballet, Hip-Hop, Afro - Caribbean, etc).  

JOB SUMMARY: The position requires a strong knowledge of dance and movement, ability to bring the excitement and joy of dance alive for younger children, and a passion for teaching. We also require the entrepreneurial energy level and drive required to be a member of a new, highly differentiated educational institution.

Our mission is to help children grow into fully rounded students, artists, and citizens who are highly successful academically, develop their full potential in music and the performing arts, and acquire the skills necessary to be able to thrive in a fast evolving world.

REQUIREMENTS: 

1. Collaborating closely with school faculty and I WILL GRADUATE to help create dense interconnections of dance with other academic subjects and music and the performing arts. 

2. Prepare students for school holiday shows and events by teaching and choreographing dance numbers. 

3. Be able to work a full complete school year September 2024 - June 2025.
4. Pass Department of Education background check and fingerprinting procedure.
5. Be currently enrolled in a College/Institute or be a graduate.
6. Experience in working with K-12 students. 

7. Must be responsible, reliable and punctual!
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
9. Be majoring or have a degree in the content areas.

10. Monitor and assess students in the classroom on their skillset, etc.

11. Take attendance of classes and keep a record of students.

 

 

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Experience: 1 year 

Education: Currently enrolled college or graduate student
