Open Call for Artists and Dancers: Perform at Embodied Earth: Garden of Voices
Project III invites artists to perform solo or small ensemble work during Embodied Earth: Garden of Voices, a multidisciplinary event taking place at the Frank White Memorial Garden on September 13-15. This free-flowing experience will explore climate activism through art, movement, and community engagement, with stations hosted by Harlem-based artists and activists.
Details:
Selected presenters are not required to perform all three days but must be available for at least one:
September 13: 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM
September 14: 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM
September 15: 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM
-Performers are also welcome to perform at multiple dates if they desire.
-Artists will be credited on Project III’s website as contributing artists of the organization.
-Project III cannot provide rehearsal space but can assist with any production needs through our network to the best of our ability.
-Pre-created pieces are strongly encouraged, but world premieres are accepted too.
-There is an optional tech rehearsal on Thursday, September 12, from 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM (dancers are NOT required to be available for the full duration).
This is a volunteer opportunity, but all performers will receive a complimentary ticket to the World Premiere party on September 13. We are especially prioritizing work that centers climate activism and performers who are Harlem-based, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, or emerging and student artists. ALL dance genres are encouraged to apply!
