The Petra Zanki Dance Company / Cie.Petra Zanki created and working in Brooklyn, NY is actively seeking a talented male-identifying or non-binary dancer to fill the role of understudy/swing dancer for our upcoming December and January performances. There is potential for this position to transition into a permanent role with the company in 2025. Rehearsals will be held every Monday and Friday morning from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., starting in October, with the option to join in September. We are specifically looking for a male-identifying or non-binary dancer comfortable in partnering with exceptional technical training and strength (we also accept strong ballet, hip-hop and capoeira trained individuals with interest/background in contemporary dance), a keen interest in contemporary dance, and the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new choreography. We are only considering serious candidates who are ready for a rigorous rehearsal process. Auditions will be conducted by appointment only.
