Peridance Contemporary Dance Company is Seeking an Intern for Fall/Spring 24-25

Peridance Contemporary Dance Company is seeking an intern for fall 2024/spring 2025. Your work with the company would support the Company Coordinator who is responsible for various exciting projects such as commissioning artists, coordinating tours, and producing performances. The schedule and number of hours can be determined between the successful candidate and the company, although a 5-hour minimum is required. This position is unpaid; school credit can be provided. Position: Dance Company Intern

Location: Peridance Center, 126 E 13th St, New York, NY 10003

Hours: 5 hours a week

Duration: between 6-9 months

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with daily administrative tasks, including scheduling, communication, and event planning.

Conduct outreach to potential partners for tours and school programming.

Draft reports.

Assist with payroll preparation.

Assist with digital and physical organization of files and general office space.

Support the production team during rehearsals and performances.

Conduct research and assist with various projects as needed.

 

Qualifications:

A strong interest in contemporary dance and the performing arts.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Previous experience in dance or performing arts is a plus but not required.
