MARKETING INTERNSHIP

Position: Marketing Intern
Organization: Pointeworks
Location: Remote (with potential onsite opportunities for NYC events)
Supervisor: Sophie Williams, Artistic Director
Duration: November 1, 2024 – March 31, 2025
Hours: 1.5 hours per week (over 5 months)
Compensation: $500 for the entire internship period

Overview:
Pointeworks, a nonprofit dedicated to promoting ballet, is seeking two college students for a six-month paid marketing internship. This role offers hands-on experience in marketing and community engagement, leading up to our NYC performances at the Ailey Citigroup Theater in March 2025.

Responsibilities:

Marketing Support: Assist in developing and executing marketing plans for NYC performances. Support digital marketing efforts, including social media and email campaigns.

Content Creation: Create engaging content for social media, blogs, and promotional materials. Edit and produce videos and graphics for performance promotion.

Public Relations: Draft press releases and media pitches. Build media lists and coordinate interviews.

Event Promotion: Promote performances through various channels. Engage with audiences during open rehearsals and assist front-of-house during performances.

Market Research: Identify target audiences and analyze marketing campaign effectiveness.

Learning Opportunities:

Gain practical experience in arts marketing.

Build a portfolio with high-profile performance work.

Network with professionals in the arts and nonprofit sectors.

Eligibility:

Open to current college students with an interest in marketing and the arts.

Ability to commit to 1.5 hours per week for six months.
