ACCENT DANCE NYC - HIP HOP BREAK DANCE SOLOISTS WANTED

ACCENT DANCE NYC is seeking professional HIP HOP BREAK DANCE SOLOISTS to perform in NYC schools and other sites as part of our Black History dance program in bookings on multiple dates in February 2025 and throughout the year.

ACCENT DANCE NYC was founded to celebrate multiculturalism through dance and prioritizes hiring artists who reflect the communities we serve. BIPOC and immigrant artists are especially encouraged to apply, though all are welcome. Artists interested in working with youth are also encouraged.

- Resume or detailed Bio of your performance experience
- Headshot or clear photograph of you
- Video footage of you dancing (reels, performance, studio, or improvisation footage are acceptable). We will view up to 3 minutes of footage. ** Please include footage of you breakdancing, as well as doing popping, locking, and any styles of hip hop or street dance you wish to showcase.

If you are chosen, in our programs you will need to perform a 2-3 minute solo that includes breakdancing, as well as demonstrate and speak about the different styles of hip hop dance, and lead some audience participation.

Since 2018, ACCENT DANCE NYC has worked with thousands of students in public, private and charter schools in NYC and lower Westchester, with a focus on providing arts education to students who do not have regular access to it. In addition, we are also a professional performance company which features a multicultural team of dancers performing ballet, tango, salsa, hip hop, jazz, tap, West African dance, Afrobeat, contemporary and more.
