Job Description:

The Kennedy Dancers, a nonprofit organization with a 48-year legacy, are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Part-Time Front Desk Associate to join our team. This position is vital in providing excellent customer service, supporting studio operations, and assisting with administrative tasks. We are looking for someone who is computer-savvy, organized, and proficient in social media management, Canva, and email communication. A passion for the performing arts is a bonus but not required.

Hours:

Monday, Wednesday, Thursday: 1:00 PM – 6:30 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Possible additional hours on Fridays for events and performances
Approximately 25-30 hours per week

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist visitors, students, and parents with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Handle front desk operations, including answering phones, responding to emails, and addressing inquiries.
Manage studio scheduling, class registrations, and payment processing.
Create and manage marketing content using Canva and oversee social media updates on platforms like Facebook and Instagram.
Maintain accurate records for the studio and dance company, including dancer contracts and financial documents.
Provide assistance with grant writing, submissions, and updates.
Keep the front desk area clean and organized.
Support the studio team during events and performances.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications are a plus.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
Experience with Canva and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, etc.).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of performing arts is beneficial but not mandatory.
Dependable, organized, and detail-oriented—this is not a stepping-stone role but a potential long-term position.

Training & Compensation:

Training period: 3 months at $16/hour.
Salary increase after the training period based on performance.
Limited benefits may be available for permanent positions.
