Pony Box Dance Theatre Invited Audition - Seeking Male-Identifying Pointe Dancers for Upcoming Project

Pony Box Dance Theatre (PBDT) is the umbrella name for our bicoastal nonprofit arts organization whose mission is to share the joy and healing power of dance with everyone. Led by Jaime Carabetta, the NYC based repertory company is recognized for their physically powerful, visually compelling and soulful aesthetic. 

PBDT is seeking male-identifying pointe dancers for a comedic excerpt from a reimagined version of The Nutcracker. Applicants must possess strong acting and partnering skills, be proficient in pointe work, and be comfortable performing in drag. Rehearsals will take place in NYC and performance will be in early November in California.

Individuals of all ethnicities and backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. 

Dancers are paid between $20-$25/hour commensurate with experience and performance pay ranges from $100-$250. 

This is an invited audition and pre-registration is required. For consideration, please fill out this form by February 5, 2025.  If invited to audition, you will be asked to attend an audition on either February 9th from 6-8pm or February 10th from 2:30-4:30pm.

We will send out notification of invitation to audition by Feb. 6th.
