2023 New York City Season at The Joyce Theater

five dancers jumping in the air

After nearly three decades of annual appearances, Parsons Dance heads back to The Joyce with two world premieres showcasing the company’s extraordinary power to engage audiences through music that provides compelling backgrounds for the dancers’ skilled movement. Highlighting this season’s program is Mr. Withers, a new David Parsons work performed to music by the legendary Bill Withers and The Ride Through created by Rena Butler, set to a driving soundscape by composer Darryl J. Hoffman. Parsons fans will also be treated to beloved repertory classics like Swing Shift and Balance of Power, both performed to live music in the evening programs.

Curtain Chat: Thu, Mar 16
