2023 Spring Season

After a successful run of our Inaugural Theatre Performance last June, we are back at it! We are thrilled to announce that we will be self-producing another full theatre show as a culmination of our 2022-2023 season on Sunday May 7th, 2023 at Manhattan Movement and Arts Center. Two shows in one day: 3:30pm and 7:30pm.

Led by Artistic Director Joan Liu and Associate Director Saeko (Rio) Hayashi, Axons Dance Theatre hopes to encourage communication through the art of dance. This season includes the premiere of the expansion of audience favorite "Soar. Glide. Flap." and the re-staging of "Refractions" which premiered in We Belong Here: AAPI Festival co-curated by Arts on Site and Jessica Chen in August of 2022. There will also be a sneak peek of an excerpt of a new piece we are cooking up for next season along with other reps featuring dancers Lucia Elledge, Jessica Frazier, Saeko (Rio) Hayashi, Marisa Pisano, Emma K. Sniegowski, Maia Virgil, Claire Wampler, and Lilli Wang (apprentice).
