Driven by masculine stereotypes and athletic culture, ACADEMY tests our physical and emotional limits--stripping us of identity and pushing the boundaries of our own endurance, until we are left sensationless. 

ACADEMY deals with man's fixation of the alpha. The work reflects back society's limiting ideology of masculinity, while revealing the suppression hardening male youth today. 

*ACADEMY premiered at 92Y's Dig Dance: Weekend Series in December 2013 and was created with support of DANCENOW Silo, TOES for dance, and Canadian Contemporary Dance Theatre.
