AND ALSO this

AND ALSO this

AND ALSO this builds upon a recently choreographed solo by Chris McMillan, Woman in Dress, which utilized somatic practices to explore concepts of external versus internal awareness, and expands on the notion of familiar and unfamiliar terrain.  With a cast of three women, AND ALSO this ventures into the topography of the body and of an individual’s mental landscape, with particular attention given to the concept of boundaries, and how we as individuals encounter them.  From cultural expectations to personal belief systems, we all create physical and mental boundaries leading to questions of what we resist, when does this change or adapt, and within all of this, what is our level of awareness?  Lighting design is by Jay Ryan.  Also included on the program is Pigeon Congress choreographed by Whitney Jacobs, Kate Martel, and Sarah Weber-Gallo.
