ASTC Dance Method Level 1

Are you a beginner dancer looking to get your feet wet, an experienced actor or performer needing personalized feedback, or are you a visual artist, musician, aspiring dancer or just wanting more creativity in your life? I'm thrilled to invite you to our ASTC Dance Method Workshop Level 1! This workshop focuses on your individual needs, ensuring a personalized and enriching journey in a supportive environment.

Finding beginner-level dance classes in NYC without requiring foundational technique can be tough -- enter the ASTC Dance Method Workshop, Level 1. Our invite only workshop changes that by teaching dance from the basics, celebrating individuality through movement, including:

 

Join Us For The Series:
Choreography Retention: Master memorization, synchronization, and spatial awareness.

Basic Technique (Beginner Level): Learn jazz, modern, house dance, hip hop, popping, animation, and ballet.

Musicality: Connect deeply with music and explore various genres.

Storytelling: Use movement to tell compelling stories, linking emotions to your body.

Meet the Instructor: Amanda Spilinga is a multi-talented actress, dancer, choreographer, director, producer, and educator from Northern Italy now based in NYC. She discovered her passion for dance at 11, trained in Ballet, Modern, Jazz, and Contemporary styles, and became one of Italy's youngest certified dance instructors by 17. At 19, Amanda moved to NYC, teaching at Broadway Dance Center and Peridance Capezio Center. She founded ALTERNATIVE SYNERGY THE COMPANY (ASTC) in 2017, blending street dance and contemporary forms. ASTC’s debut show, "THE DEBUT," was nationally acclaimed for its unique movement style. She developed the ASTC DANCE METHOD and ASTC TEACHING DANCE METHOD, focusing on individuality and the connection between body and soul. A Brooklyn Arts Council Grantee, Amanda has performed on The Late Show with David Letterman and choreographed for Gabi DeMartino. She advocates for the dance community with organizations like Freelancers Union NYC.
